
Headache – Cephalgia - Types – Ayurveda Cure
“Headache” is described as “Pain in the Head or Upper Neck”, also now as Cephalgia. It is one of the most typical locations of Pain in the body and has many causes.
The Three Major Kinds of Headaches:
- Primary Headaches,
- Secondary Headaches, and
- Cranial Neuralgias, Facial Pain, and other Headaches
Primary Headaches involve Migraine, Tension, and Cluster Headaches, as well as a kind of other less common types of headache. Tension headaches are the most usual sort of primary headache; as many as 90% of adults have had or will have tension headaches. Tension headaches are more familiar among women than men. Migraine headaches are the second most usual type of primary headache. Primary headaches influence the quality of life. Some people have unusual headaches that resolve quickly, while others are debilitated. Tension, migraine, and cluster headaches are not life-threatening.
Secondary Headaches are those that are due to an underlying structural difficulty in the head or neck. There are various causes of this type of headache ranging from bleeding in the brain, tumor, or meningitis and encephalitis.
Cranial Neuralgia describes a combination of headaches that occur because the nerves in the head and upper neck become swollen and are the cause of the head pain. Facial pain and a kind of other reasons for headache are included in this category.
Tension Headaches are the most frequently occurring type of headache, and their cause is not known. Common sites include the base of the skull, the temple, and the forehead. Tension headaches occur because of physical or emotional stress located on the body. Physical stress may cause tension headaches to include severe and prolonged manual labor, or sitting at a desk or computer for long periods. Emotional stress may also generate tension headaches by causing the muscles encircling the skull to contract.
